FSX Aircraft
« on: September 14, 2018, 12:50:03 PM »
Hello,

6 months ago I changed from FS9 to FSX and after quite a few teething problems, the majority sorted out with assistance on this forum, I have, hopefully, one last request.

I land at an airport and the aircraft in the distance appear white, however on approaching closer to them the liveries appear. This only happens on the ground and never when viewing traffic in the air.

I thought it was only aircraft from FS9 but as I slowly update some 5,000 texture files to FSX, with the appropriate model, this still happens.

Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

Thanks

Nigel

Hi Nigel

To avoid the "issue" you have.. try using mipmaps liverys..

If you are using FS9 files in FSX they can cause that problem..

Mipmap files provide this so you can see the livery from a long distance..

FS9 livery has a folder named mipmaps and FSX files has the mipmaps included..
