Hi-
I'm having an issue where I have many multiples of some flights injected into the sim.
I've included a screen grab as an example. All of the aircraft in the lines of them are the same registration.
As far as I can tell, I don't have any duplicate flight plans, but even if I did, I don't think that would explain why I get 20+ planes with the same model on top of each other.
I'm using the latest version of TC (6.0.22), though this happened with earlier versions too, and I've tried stopping TC and restarting, but still get multiple planes injected.
Hoping it's just user error somewhere along the lines, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Drew
log?
I'm pretty sure one of these logs are from the flight I screen grabbed, thanks for taking a look.
have you modified any of the OCI content? The log looks very strange for some added SimObjects
Yes, I've done a couple of things:
I used notepad++ to put the aircraft.cfgs into lower case. I do this because the Azure TTS likes to think that a lot of three letter words are actually abbreviations when they are upper case (as all of the callsigns are in the aircraft.cfg files), so instead of saying "NEW ZEALAND 215, blah blah blah", it says "N E W (en ee doubleyew) ZEALAND 215, blah blah blah..". It's fine for some airlines like KLM or UPS, but not for others, so by putting it into lower case it says it as a word.
There's also a small number of callsigns that I've edited in the aircraft.cfgs to correct the Azure TTS pronunciation .
I thought fiddling with the callsigns would be innocuous enough, but it sounds like there's maybe something about TC that doesn't like edits to the callsigns? Would that explain the weird things you're seeing with the log file?
Maybe a reinstall (delete flight plans along with textures and reinstall the package) of the airlines I know I've edited would be a place to start?
there are reasons we have a file in OCI that should make clear to not edit files ;)
But according to your log, it is not the callsigns alone, but the title as well and this is causing the issue
Huh, weird. I definitely have not messed with the titles, intentionally anyway. But it sounds like I must have inadvertently done something when I was fixing the callsigns. Sounds like some reinstalling will be needed. Thanks for the help.
