1. I'm not quite sure what the AIG Traffic Controller is doing.
I have the AIG AI Manager running.
All flight plans are saved there as bgl.
2. Can I operate the traffic controller in the settings with the AIG AI Manager or do I need other flight plans?
I want to stay with my AIG AI Manager because I have already integrated a lot of flight plans with repaints.

If all your plans are BGL, then you really don't need TC. It's a program that allows the AIGFP's to be injected into the game using Simconnect. Then it also have a map and some other features.
You might actually have a few AIGFP plans as some are AIGFP only, because they uses a mix of 1 week and multiweek plans.

There is a setting in OCI that will activate it for you. But then you need to reinstall all the plans again (not the textures or models though).
How can I reinstall all the plans without re-downloading the textures ? ::confused::

If you have the textures already downlaoded the program will not redownload them. You are only changing how the program injects the plans into the sim.
