757-200 WINGLETS RR REFLECTIVE ?
« on: February 16, 2012, 03:10:11 AM »
Hi

I am running FS9 and would like to paint  B 757-200 RR winglet  with reflections. Does it excist a reflective model that I'm not aware of or do I have to forget about using the alpha channel ?

Regards,
Carl

The Aardvark B752W has a RR reflective model.

Why do you need reflections? The reflections in FS9 just look naff.

Ok then, I'll think about that, thanks for answering.

Like Felix mentioned above there really is no need for a reflective model.. The AIG 757 model is newer and widely considered to be the best AI model out there.. It's entirely up to you Carl but if you're going to paint a 757 then I'd use that one instead of the AIA model but it's up to you!

The major problems with reflections is that all FS does is make it look 'chrome' over the top of the paint, and the highlights wash out the paint beneath. It's nasty nasty nasty. I guarantee that your paint will look better on the AIG 757 than the AIA one anyway, let alone the AIA one with reflections. The AIA model was fantastic and has served us well, but is very much long in the tooth now.
