Favorite repainters
« on: July 29, 2013, 11:43:10 PM »
Who are your favorite re-painters.?
There are so many now than ever before, its amazing.
I have three in my mind but so many more the list would be endless.
M-Sauce. I cant believe how good that guy is.
Buambaush, Mr. J.B. is incredible and Nils. The names sound like a like a rock band.
These are among the best, Boris comes to mind, and the guys from AIG and AIA.
Oh well, too many to list anyways.
Thanks to all the great re-painters of whom I wish I was 1/4 as good.
Also for sharing your work, it is the kindest jesture I have seen in a lomg time how kind the people who do the paints share with us, the modelers also, MAIW have hearts of gold.
FAIB. I will be donating soon, I need to renew the license on my car this month, it costs 227.00 something for renewal and that is a big hit on me and my wallet. Thanks guys.
Kind Regards
Roger M.

In my mind, everyone who makes a repaint is the best hands down.

Don't see the use for this thread. Sure we all have our favorites but this hobby would not be if there were only 2 or 3 painters. We need everyone.

If you appreciate work of a certain painter (or modeller/planner etc..) send him and email saying so. No need for a thread like this imo..

Totally agree, if you take a repainter out of the picture you leave a certain whole. For example if Nils and JB were to retire from painting then Germany would be neglected. If Symon retired we'd only have half of those htai prop paints we have today. So each painter does they're bit and all as valuable as each other  :)

Every painters is the best, starting from those who started repainting until they're a true professional

Like Daniel say, don't see any use for this thread

Yes, I'd rather close this topic until it starts boiling.

It will boil if someone starts boiling it..

In fact, each of us actually has his own favorite list of painters. The starter of the topic simply thought it was interresting to compare them. However he seems not aware of :
- the fact that there are different ways of painting (AI) aircraft. Remember, photopasters was really hated here and there are a couple of well known very bad painters out there that just steals other's work and slam their modding on top before re-releasing them as their own.
- the fact that stating that painters A, B and C are top notch on the list will just make painters D, E and F leave the AI World.

Just look at every bit of it :
Starting to compare repainters that make repaints on their spare time for free is non sense. However, even if one likes painter A's work, while another likes painter B's, painter A will never be able to repaint any livery that should be painted out there, nor painter B either. It's like asking which country do you like the most.. Discussing here is just a waste as, we won't never agree on a list, we don't need such list, we shouldn't even have to discuss what makes one like a repaint and not another : it's up to the painter to decide the way he's going to paint and what makes him happy with it.
