Another Model, More Paints and.. yep.. Spraykits!
« on: June 15, 2008, 06:46:57 PM »
After a weekend of wrapping up the 757 project, we are all very proud to release the following:

- The Boeing 757-200 model with the Rollys Royce RB211-535C engines (found on very early variants of the 757 series)
- The final batch of new paints
- The Spraykits for both the Boeing 757-200 and -300 series.

This concludes our Boeing 757 project. I would like to take a moment to thank all those who contributed:

- Jannik Dahl
- Andy Carroll
- Maik Voigt
- Andrew Langille
- George Widener
- Garry Lewis
- JW Bakker
- Santiago Nauffal
- Ralf Maylin
- Jorge Justa
- Oliver Richter
- Mariano Bonaccorso
- Marko Balazic

and the rest of the AIG team for testing and supporting the 757 project.  ::cheers::

Wow!!! Looks like more AI Aardvark repaints bite the dust. My AI Aardvark folders are getting thin except for a few that was not repainted or the airline is now defunct. Oh well. Great job guys, keep'em coming. Maybe a new MD-11 next?  ::cheers::
If it ain't Boeing, I ain't working on it or flying on it!

Naah! The 757 bizjet repaints next, unless the paintkit release was also a strong hint. *Then* the MD11!

The spraykit is utterly brilliant and, if I may add, well worth the wait. I've taken to my guys at work to show how Photoshop files can be set up to ease transition from ALIAS masters. Thanks loads.

I do have one query, however.

Though the documentation on the -300 says there's a full fuselage .PSD file included (as with the -200), however if was missing in action in the version I downloaded from AvSim. I sucked the file down a second time and the situation was the same.

While it's no biggie on colour schemes that are linear (since I rather lazily worked on the -200s full-fuselage file and then did a slice on it far away from the shorter bird's longitudinal centre line), two projects I am working on will greatly benefit from a proper -300 full-length fuselage as they have full-length fuselage sweeps of colour that cannot be handled so easily as straight lines. Will a full-length fuselage for the -300 be available subsequently?

That's all. Once again, thanks for the great resource and thanks for setting a new standard.

That might be a mistake on our part, as I recall we did not make a fullbody for the 757-300.

So it is likely that it was never included with the 757-300 spraykit.

I am sure one of us who knows better can clear that up for definite.
