How to check what repaints are appearing in FSX
« on: July 15, 2014, 01:46:58 PM »
Hi guys,hope you are well  :)

I recently moved to FSX from FS9 and I love it so far, but, when I was on FS9 I was using FSRepaint to check what AI Aircraft were showing after I installed flightplans and repaints, now, for some reason FSrepaint doesn't load the UTT B787, UTT B748 or any of the FAIB models, I don't want to buy the product as I am not a painter I mainly use it to check I've installed repaints correctly, can anyone else recommend a program similar which will load FAIB & UTT repaints for FSX?
Please forgive if me i post something "stupid" I am autistic so certain things are harder for me.

MCX is to check the paint, but not if it's installed correct (including the fltsim-entry).

I downloaded Model Converter X, how do I get it to look for Aircraft? It's a bit confusing at first glance.

MCX won't do that.

Use AI-Aircraft editor, see the link above.

I already have that downloaded  :) I didn't know it can check textures though, I only used it to edit Aircraft.cfg entries.

Navigate to folder e.g ATR 72-200

Tools -> Validate aircraft

Double click aircraft name --> Model Viewer (uses an integrated version of MCX)

TBH ACA2013 is all I use- it's great. It won't check that the textures are displaying correctly, but it does check all the stuff in the aircraft.cfg file.
