If the JAL plans will be used by WoAI it was good to separate them as their previous JAL packages were also splitted - better for updates  ;)

Hi,

I noticed that the Rossiya flightplans included an IL-86 flight to Gatwick on Sundays. Just wanted to inform you that this should be operated by the TU-154. In fact, the IL-86 is banned from the EU, so wouldn't be able to fly to Gatwick even if they wanted to.

Was also wondering when the Rossiya flightplans are set, as I have them down as operating 5x a week to Gatwick, but can only find three flights in the flightplans (Thursday and Friday flights appear to be missing).

Cheers

Hi Steview,

The data that I used to compile the flightplans (Amadeus) listed them as being only 3x weekly flights to LGW, although I have noticed that the fast changing nature of this airline makes it very difficult to keep it up to date. I will look at it in the future, and possibly release a v2 to keep up with the changes. Thanks for pointing that out.

Regarding the IL-86, you are correct in saying these are not allowed to be used on "scheduled" flights to the EU - however, sometimes there are last minute substitutions - someone please correct me here if I'm wrong. It's a bit of a grey area.

A quick look at airliners.net, I found one arriving in LCA, Cyprus:

If you find any more discrepancies in the FP, please send me a PM, and I will look into correcting it and issuing an update. :)

Thanks,
Ben

Thank you so much for all your hard work creating the plans!!!

One thing though if you're looking for certain repaints for the Russian plans, check R.A.T.S!

http://www.trafficsystem.ru/ratseng.html

All paints can be found there, especially for the Russian types!

Hope this helps  ::cheers::

ps. must be in the mood for Russian... tonight HOLLAND v Russia!!!!! 2 Dutch coaches versus one another!!!  ::happy:: 20.45 1/4 Final Euro Championships!!!!  ::party2::

Upcoming flights: 09-03 AMS - GOA KL1563 # 11-03 GOA - AMS KL1564

Never seen an Il-86 at Gatwick but do often see the Tu-154, 2006 for that picture isn't that before they were banned?

You may be right Ben, I really am not sure.

I will take a look at the plans, and see what can be done to sort them out. Sorry guys

They've been banned from Western Europe since 2002. They were banned in Cyprus from 2006, and in Bulgaria when they joined the EU in 2007. Egypt will also be banning the aircraft, and Turkey will probably be following suit. Unfortunately it seems they won't be around for much longer.

Strange, 'coz I spotted IL86s on a regular basis at LYS/LFLL until a few years ago (2004 or 2005), both flown by Pulkovo and Aeroflot during winter ski season. Now we get TU154s and Yak 42s during winter.
