I think that's rather obvious Eric.. something to do with the large 'PARAMOUNT' branding as soon as it starts!

Looks quite entertaining. I guess they went for an old MD as they're cheap and readily available to cut up and destroy in the name of cinema

I'll be the first to admit I've been accused of being a bit dense every once in a while, but I'm not THAT dense. ;D

That it does.

wow.. hollywood's running out of ideas.. and money, appearantly.. They couldn't even get use of a real MD-87? Even for just ground shots or simple aerial stuff? No-body (charter or airline) believed in the plot, I guess..

Being that it seems as the plot is a major mechanical malfunction, I'm guessing no manufacturers were stepping over each other to have their brand plastered all over the big screen.

Reminds me of the Alaska Airlines MD that had the run-away stab. Sadly, did not have as happy an ending as this one obviously does. Those guys managed to fly the crippled MD-80 upside down for several minutes, but last sight of the jet from another aircraft in the area said it was in an inverted spin when it hit the water.

It first glance I didn't think it was an MD-87

Even if it is Hollywood, a movie about a post-crash investigation should be interesting.

I liked how they kept cutting from the glass cockpit to shots of an analog altimeter.
