AI are taxiing one through another - P3D 2.5
« on: July 15, 2015, 01:29:19 AM »
It happens at all of payware airports, with almost no exception and I cannot remember things like these at FS2004. I have checked everything  - wing span of AI, taxiways width\types\material via ADE. No luck at all.

Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it.

Thanks

Hi Dmitriy

Have you edited any of your ai cfg? If so that could be the problem. Open ai aircraft cfg and go down to brakes, increase the toe_brakes_scalar. With the values low ai tend to run into one another especially at taxiway holding points.
Or you could try Jans FDE V6. Hope this helps.

Cheers

Thanks for the response.

Actually, I'm using Jans FDE V6 since day 1, so my guess that toe-brakes_scalar is not the issue. Those "drive-throus" usually happen when large stack of AI are taxiing\waiting in line for take-off in large airports.  Maybe adding more regular nodes with ADE would solve the issue. I'm going to try later today.

I have noticed the same thing with 2.5.

Actually I don't mind it because I'd rather not have the AI disappear, but it was quite strange. Happened at t-shape taxiway at Keflavik. The weird part was that they initially waited in a head to head deadlock and then after some minutes just moved through each other.

Interestingly enough that some ADEs do not have this problem. For instance, Johan's ADE for FT EKCH and Normann's UK2000 EGLL lack this issue at all, while FSDT KIAH and KDFW (both are good examples of looooong taxiways and long lines of AI taxiing and waiting for take-off) are suffering from AI drive-thrus badly.
