new member needs help
« on: May 25, 2016, 04:19:12 PM »
Ok, I decided to start making my own airline packages and this is my go to site for sources. I am attempting my own package now, so this is what I did:

1. download flight plans, model, repaints

2. move the model folder into p3d sim objects airplane folder

3. move the repaint into the model folder in sim objects airplane folder

3a edit the aircraft file in correct numbers

4. open aifp

(now here is where things go wrong, I think)

5. aifp open file then open traffic file bgl

6. find my flight plan folder and select the zipped file

7. it opens in aifp with the textures in red and writing within the flight plan numbers. The writing is the tiltle, author, date.. when the plans were made?

8. can't compile because the textures are in red, but I installed them into the model.

I have been trying for hours just for one package and the textures are still in red, please help so I can start the long process of replacing my woai packages with my own
thanks so much!

I don't want to sound cynical, but maybe your list should start with

1. Read the aifp manual ( or ttools, or any other ai documentation that explains how ai works in fs)

Visit my website for more repaints!

As usual I agree with Philippe, but it sounds like your titles don't match. If you don't know what that means then back to Philippe's advice  ;)
I say "If your not having fun why bother?"

Where the aircraft titles are red, right click and select substitute then select or search from the titles of the repaints that you installed. There are MANY MANY different ways of getting it done. You need to find which one you like best.
