FSPX performance
« on: February 18, 2017, 09:17:04 AM »
Hi Guys,

I have searched the forum for FSPX and I get some idea but not in terms of performance.

At the moment I am using TFS for A330/A340/A380/T7 family and I am thinking/ tempted buying FSPX model for A330 and T7 family to replace TFS. Is there anyone who can give me some idea about its performance please.

Much appreciate it

Hendrik

Depends on the platform you got...P3d is soon migrating to 64bit and I would guess this models are optimized for the platform...performance wise migrating to native models will improve your overall performance and eye candy of models...plus the fact I think missi is focusing on reducing VAS impact on the textures will help in the future...I have changed to them in P3d and am slowly making repaints for the ones not out there..

Same here P3d I'm not into intensive fps testing but overall it is better now...in airports where I had more TFS planes...like big hubs...my only concern would be vas wise but it can be controlled by resizing textures..

So I understand it correctly, FPS is not an issue but more VAS?

Since P3D V3 I never had OOM. But I dont use Vector.

Would you recommend getting FSPX? I am 50/50 about this. If I buy A330 and T7 family I would be spending 25â?¬ which equals to a new add-on airport. I am not sure how much advantage I would gain from FSPX instead TFS models. Up until now TFS doesnt give me any troubles and if I am gonna spend that amount for AI models I expect it to give me a noticeable gain.

Question: Has anyone tested the performance on FSX:SE?
