On flightaware there is also an article about this. It is part of Iridium Next if I recall correctly. Would be really nice, especially for the realtraffic/PSXseeconTraffic users provided the price of the feed is reasonable.

I really enjoy live traffic, but I mainly fly (or spot actually) in Europe where ADS-B coverage is quite good already.

It would also be nice if pilots were required to leave their ADS-B units active when their aircraft is on the ground. There's probably no real world reason to do so, so some airports show taxiing ground traffic and some don't.

Indeed. I allways thought the USA is bad for ground traffic, but so far I see no problems at for example KSFO or KLAX.

I'm pretty sure that read somewhere recently that certain airports are also equipping ADS-B on their ground vehicles.
