717 model or New Light Map
« on: March 09, 2018, 08:47:56 AM »
Is there an AIA B717 light map available that will work with my fsx native B717 which I use for P3DV4? Or is there a new model in making . Only because the light maps for the converted AIA 717 don't work , they are washed out , looks like a white tail wing. If anyone has a coverted light map or DDS textures for Hawaiian and Delta 717 please . Thank you

Send me a PM and I'll send them along.   I did custom lightmaps for all the 717s and MD80s

I'm back from my mini "vacation" watching my son's dog and I see that I have a huge number of requests!    Thanks.    I'm going to see if I can find a place to post these instead of sending mega-mails so bear with me.
The files are somewhat huge:
MD80 pkg 1 is 6,247 kb
MD80 pkg 2 is 5,360 kb
717 pkg is 1,200 kb

I also have the Delta MD90 completed as well as the 727s and EMB-120s.    ::evilgrin::

Just a note:    These files are the complete texture files of each airline type; i.e., they include the paints of others readily available on the net.    I am no painter and the daylight textures (*_t.dds) are not my work.   In some cases, the lightmap may also be someone elses work, but I can not be sure on this.   I made sure that every a/c in my P3Dv4 aircraft folders from AIA had the tail logo showing.

Give me a day or so to see if I can a) find a host for these files, and 2) be sure I can do so without breaking some obscure law.    :groan:

I've just figured out how to remove the *_t.dds files so all I will make available is the lightmaps for each aircraft/type in my Sim.   This will get me out of trouble for sharing other's work.   As a bonus, it will also make the zip files much smaller.

Johan is going to check the brightness levels for me and if I don't have to re-touch them, they will be available at jcai.dk by link (hopefully a sticky on the Forum)

Note that these will be mostly North America/some SA a/c since I don't have a bunch of European or Asian birds in my Sim.   I might be coerced into making others if the rewards are sufficient.     ::evilgrin::
