. I would switch  ::happy::

That would be nice, yes, although it has absolutely nothing to do with PBR but with dynamic shaders on textures. If I am not wrong, some people are trying to develop such dynamic shaders to introduce seasons into xplane: you would need only one texture and you would add snow when it snows etc.. Might be that we see such a thing sooner or later, as the technique basically exists..

I am not talking about the snow. I am talking about the melting of it or blowing away from jet engines.

PBR stands for physically based rendering. A hot jet engine or its exhaust are physical processes affecting its environment.

But I know it’s just a dream to even think about such stuff in a simulator :)

But PBR has more to do with how light is reflected on physical objects (and thus rendered) based on their shininess, texture or lack thereof, not how objects interact with each other.

Having said that it could be possible to have a snow texture layer over the ground textures, where the transparency of the snow texture could be changed depending on the flow and temperature of the exhaust.

With MSFS2020 they previewed a video showing accumulating ice covering the entire plane. So I would assume that any external aspects being snow and rain would be also affected by the physicality and operation of the A/C. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtk1UfK6FBEcdyMaBt64YxA
