Couple of videos yesterday saying, quite predictably, it absolutely hammers the GPU.

One with a 2080Ti saying they've never seen any game or program stress it so much. Even in benchmarking.

..with all siders set to ULTRA. MAX or MED provides comfortable flying as well according to the same guy.

And to be honest, as the owner of 2080Ti and 9900-5.0 cpu I have never run P3D v4.5hf3 with all options to the right assuming a solid list of must-have sceneries, custom planes and, of course, AI

I am also super excited about the release. But from AI/ATC point of view don't expect to much. The videos already avaliable leave little doubt that we are getting an FSX ATC with little or no change.

BUT Asobo said they have a multi year contract to continue development and ATC is high on the request list. First I believe is VR (already ongoing development), then helicopters and the third upgrade could be reworked ATC. IF the community puts enough pressure on it. So lets all put a pressure.

well to put up pressure the users have to stick with the game or are sure they want to buy it when the ATC update comes (we have no timeframe for that yet) - so everyone that had very high hopes regarding ATC/AI is more or less disappointed at the moment...

Future updates would be good. This is something we don't know from older versions of flight simulator. Only patches after a while that sorted out bugs.

Don't know what I'm looking forward to more.
Playing it or seeing you guys figure out how to get AI running in it :)

I'm so confused I saw youtube they have flying in MSFS 2020 already package. How do you get this? I ordered 2 weeks ago.  I don't know what it is.  I thought to wait until August 18th release package. I'm puzzled about it.

All the YouTube stuff is from people who have access to it pre-release whether it’s for publicity or beta test reasons.

For the Alpha and Beta testers, an "Embargo" was lifted that allowed them to start sharing video content. As stated, this is much more likely for publicity. But on the other hand as has been seen in some of these videos, it also shows the shortcomings that may or may not be present in the sim upon initial release. But we are still a few weeks out. LOTS can happen in that tine. I'm sure much of the development team is working "round" the clock and fielding e-mails to address things. I don't know why people get in such a panic about things before they are even truly released or they themselves have used it. "A shadow of doubt can spread to cover even the brightest of ideas."

Alpha / Beta is still under NDA.

Influencers and Media were sent a separate different build which is not under NDA.

I saw a video with a very ugly united A330 landing at Las Vegas

In nmy mind I was thinking, they might as well have used the TFS or FSP A330 model, because those looked 50x better  ;D

Yup, youtube at 7:20 time. I saw that United A330 (never had fleet A330 UAL) SMH.. landing was wrong to level horizon flat to land no angle to first landing gears touch then nose down. It was wrong the same time landing all wheels.  No flaps deployed. It's horrible looking AI planes.  If I don't like MSFS 2020 I would be pissed off.

Sure AI will be sorted, I know FSPainter have already started work on the A350 for FS2020 according their facebook page.

Gaya Vienna looks stunning in their screenshots too!

Would be interesting to see how the objects's folder is structured in MSFS

that was just a preview of a test and he said as well that all animations are not working, so it seems not that easy

You will be suprised ;D
