I did a full install also, but also removed all of the leftover files from the unisntall and then just re-added the scenery.cfg and addons.cfg's. So far, my performance in 5.2 has I'd have to say better than I've ever seen from any previous version. It runs better, looks better and the AI lights now AILRP look so much better than they ever have many thanks to AILRP. I'm a pretty happy camper right now.

5.2 has been the best improvement in visuals since a long time, spacially night flights are now a pure joy - no we just have to wait for ASP3D ::evilgrin::

What's wrong with ASP3D?

Eh? I'm using the latest beta build from them without any issues - other than some fast clouds when I first load up the sim ???

Installed 5.2, ran OCI, selected V5 and it took roughly 25 minutes to install everything in the 5.2. Now I have traffic in both sims!

Back to 4.5HF3.

Even with volumetric clouds OFF, both dusk and dawn are pictures from the apocalypses and REX textures work with EA=ON. Turning the EA off kills the entire immersion. FPS gain isn't significant.

Back to 4.5HF3.

and back to crazy long load times with AI. In V4 I had to break up my AI to minimize massive load times, if I had it all enabled it was in excess of 20-25 mins. In V5 with everything loaded, it's less than 3.
 Each to their own though.

Yes, v4 loads longer than V5, BUT!!! it’s not 25 vs 5. It’s 3 min vs 30 seconds in my case . I have only commercial and cargo AI installed. Both sims are on M2 SSD.

You just don't have enough AI aircraft installed is all. All of my AI traffic is also on a Samsung 970 Evo M2 and that's the real difference.
