Is there any need for such a thread?

I'm sure the modellers do exactly know which models are outdated.

And I'm also absolutely convinced they do what they like to do - and nothing else  ;D.

Never disturb them in their caverns, then you'll maybe get what you like, without any question or request. But if you request things maybe you'll never see it  :D

I have complete respect for all modelers, painters, and flight plan makers(?) but this isnt a demand thread, but an opinion thread on what the fans/users think is out dated.  I personally dont care, if its a good new model, im happy!

..and here is an example of what modelers do - the reason Dieter made the comment he did..

Excellent choice, Andrew, but having got so close with the JS31, it might have been thought you would replace our (albeit much less used) JS41 from PAI as well.  But, no, it's an ATP..

As another example of what Dieter was mentioning, TFS recently launched the Saab 2000, leaving out the A310 as the only Airbus model they have not (so far) made..  You may well assume that the Saab 340 will be next and you well may be right... but you may not..

So, you can discuss 'till the cows come home, but ultimately modelers will produce whatever they have decided to model, when they feel like modelling it and release it when it is ready for release..  I happily, on occasion, join in the speculation for the fun of it but this thread and this sort of discussion will not change anything..

Andrew is making good choices of witch models he wants to make.

For example, the PAI JS31 is ok, but still needs updates. And the PAI ATP.. No flaps, no nothing. The ATP is REALLY NEEDING A NEW MODEL!!! I'm sure Andrew will make 'em! He's great!  :)

Any list we make is bound to be endless, someone will always think of a model that could use an update...but going by the frequency of seeing those models in my AI setup, I'd say the Dash series, the ATR series and CRJ-700/900 need the most urgent updates. The other models mentioned above, while most definitely in a need of a refresh, are not mainstream. As always, just IMHO :)
Cheers,

Whatever is released next is whatever the modeller wants... it's been said thousands of times.

I don't think anybody thought you did - not even for a moment..

Obviously, you thought it might be useful, otherwise you wouldn't have posted it and, if you hadn't, we might not know about Andrew's ATP up to now..  :)
Best regards
