I've nothing against the PAI F50/S340 models. They looks ok to me.

But, soon, these models will get an update. I'm sure about that!  :)

RATS put up a lovely Il-76 before revamping their website. I think that someone (Alpet?) said that it would be back online shortly.

Hmm it's been more than 3 weeks now since he said it would be back in a week  ;)

I'm sure he has other stuff going on, so anybody who can send me their IL-76 model and/or any cargo packages they made? It would be very much appreciated!

Greg

The 747SP I suppose, since that's the only variant for which no good Ai-model is available. ::party2::

Edit: I'm sorry I forgot to mention the 747 Dreamlifter, which has not been modelled at all so far..

Yeah, it's not like modelers wouldn't dare to post a screenshot and not finish it after all. I've seen others do that too. I once previewed a Katana, an agusta a109 and a fouga magister. You know how big a hit those are right now..
If the helpdesk thinks your question is stupid, we will set you on fire.

quote from the 747 AI thread ''The 747 is coming along nicely, it enterred beta since quite a while, now painters are very busy, I guess
we'll be covering nearly every liveries for the -200, -300, -400 and also the SP (lots of retro liveries there).

Apart from the (now usual) XML coded flaps and high polycount, the models will also include an amazing virtual cockpit. That's a new feature we know the crowd was waiting for. We're also planning to release a fuel load manager for the new 747.

As we're setting the last details however, it appeared that we might go payware for that new release,
dont fear, you'll be pleasantly surprised.''

Like Capa stated, why would a developer post screenshots of an unfinishied model*?  This would just open the floodgates of people asking about the status and if airline XYZ will be painted.  True there are screenshots on the TFS forum, there is no question about that.  Question is, how old are those?  They could be from an older unfinished project and those pics could be a decoy as to something else.  Remember that modelers and other developers have a twisted sense of humor.  I remember back when AIG was planning on releasing the An-124 and the 328J, both of those were around the same time.  There was talk about posting screenshots of one model in the banners on the main page but then releasing the other model that was not previewed.  Can't remember if we did that.

* Disregard the CRJ900 and DC9-10 that was previewed *ahem* somewhere.  ;D
There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

..and a month is a short time in this area..  Remember the thread here a month ago, prompted by the then changes to the TFS web site, which had a load of people here convinced that they were closing down ?  Now you're convinced they are about to release every repaint of the 747-200, -300, -400 and SP ever...  ..with a VC and a fuel manager..  ::evilgrin::
Best regards

Matthew

There's no point previewing new stuff. Just sometimes people like to! ;D
That being said, I've not previewed the latest model that I've started, and don't intend to... ::evilgrin::
