Shockwave lights on ai-aircraft question
« on: March 03, 2008, 02:42:00 PM »
Hello,

I've installed lights of Shockwave Productions on some of my ai-aircraft following the guide on the AIG homepage. I have one question though, wich panel.cfg do I have to use on ai-aircrafts? I must have done something wrong since the lights of the ai-aircraft in my sim keep burning if the gear has been retracted..
Maybe it's an idea to place a working panel.cfg in the 'Enhance Your Ai' section of the AIG website.

Thanks in advance,
Peter

Hi Peter,

The light entries you need to add should be inserted in the aircraft.cfg file of the relevant aircraft. If you open the file, scroll down to the [lights] section you can then replace the data there with the data provided on the site.

Cheers,
Ben

Hello Ben,

Thanks for your answer, but I already knew that, the problem is that according to the shockwave productions site a gauge has to be used to get the landing lights turn off automatically when the gear is retracted. This is working with my UI-aircraft, but not with AI-aircraft. So I thought maybe I did something wrong in the AI-aircraft panel.cfg, I'm using the following cfg at the moment:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
[Window Titles]

[Vcockpit01]
gauge00=shockwave_lights!SW Lights, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light
gauge01=nn-gauges!NickSmokeFXControl.xml, 0,0

[Default View]
X=0
Y=0
SIZE_X=8192
SIZE_Y=2600

[Color]
Day=255,255,255
Night=205,101,100
Luminous=147,64,64
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Is this correct, or did I do something wrong?

Thanks in advance,
Peter

According to the Shockwave Manual (PDF) -- for AI Aircraft skip the section regarding changes to the panel.cfg

Hope this helps!

Great job on the Shockwave lights for AI planes.  Will there be plans to add the Dash-8 and other AI planes that are currently not on the list yet?

Thanks,

Bill

Hi Bill,

Yes, we do plan to add all available AI plans - Jim is the man who's got the know-how with it all, so once he gives me the data I will add it to the site.

Glad you like it!

Cheers,
Ben
