Isn´t Il-96 easier to convert from the Il-86 fuselage? I´m wonder if we ever will get a better Il-96 or Il-62 AI model..

You are right Alpet, but what about the Russian Air Force Il-86VKP ones? RA-86146/7/8/9? I know that model is slightly different, but they still are Il-86s  :stirpot:

All in good time

^A better translation? A fairly common expression, especially with the, erm, older generation (although I like it and use it, despite being 17!)

I noticed that the flaps also remain retracted during taxi to takeoff. I remember talking about this when the AN-225 was released, but is this the case with the IL-86 operators as well? It is just that the flaps look great and I think it is a shame not to get a chance to see them while the aircraft is taxiing out.

I found many pics online that show them deployed on taxi-out. As with the CRJ-900, I know that hving them deployed during taxi-out usually means that they remain in the TO position after landing all the way to the gate, but I think this is a better option than leaving them up on taxi-out. At least that is how most AI planes behave.

Also, just a heads-up on one of the AYZ repaints (RA-86136), it only has the right side of the nose as black. I don't know if this was overlooked or if this is the actual aircraft's livery.

Oh! This is not correct, needs to be black on both side. I don't know how did this get past me on beta-test!

Thank you for spotting this.

Not always.  :) I remember this cause I've spent about 30 hours on board Il-86 as a passenger.

I am finally getting around to installing the Il-86 and I am kind of confused with S7.  Do they operate the Il-86 and Tu-154M anymore?  I've seen a couple of different sources say that they are an all Airbus/Boeing fleet now.
There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

Yes, something which is very sad. I usually support modernising of an airline, but I hate to see Russian airlines losing their wonderful Russian planes, it's making it feel like every other same European airline. I know in my sim, S7 Il-86 and Tu-154 will always fly.
