Transaero callsign?
« on: August 15, 2010, 10:21:54 PM »
What´s the actual callsign of Transaero? Wiki says "Transaero" while many other says "Trans Soviet".. And also Transaero VA says "Transaero" is the callsign in use now, and "Trans Soviet" was the callsign during the 90s?
So what´s true of these?
Thanks,

//D

Eurocontrol says TRANSOVIET is the callsign

It is quite fun that the Soviet era still lives on with Transaero (Transsoviet) and Aeroflot (SU and the logo). :yeah:

History is a history. Especially if we are talking about Aeroflot logo.

From what I read. Aeroflot post Soviet era, contacted a western advertising agent to come up with a new logo. The company advised them to stick with a well known brand image.
